After many years as a product designer in the fast-paced world of software and venture capitalism, I started learning (and loving) the intricacies of textile and surface pattern design in 2019. I've always been a doodler, but turning my sketches into seamless patterns that tell stories and can be printed on a variety of mediums was thrilling.

I launched my design studio in late 2024 with just a couple patterns. A line of children's sleepwear and the brand Newport Nowhere followed in May of 2025. My little studio has since grown-up a bit and expanded even more with my collaboration with Balboa Island gift hub, Blue Atlas Marketplace. I love seeing my patterns on everything from walls to pillows to stationary to candles and more.

Outside of time in my studio, I'm usually with my two little kids, Heidi and Charles, my husband Brent, and my cranky little terrier, Harriet. I live in beautiful Corona del Mar, California and my studio overlooks the Newport Harbor. I pinch myself everyday that I get to do what I love in such a stunning locale.
