Newporter 27" - Standard Format

Inspired by the places and landmarks that make Newport Beach so special, Newporter is my hand-drawn take on a traditional toile. From familiar architecture and sailboats to little details of life along the harbor, each illustration is a nod to the coastal town I call home.

The larger 27-inch repeat gives the individual illustrations a little more room to shine, creating an airy, more expressive take on the traditional toile. It's particularly beautiful in a bedroom, dining room, home office, or living space where the larger motifs can be appreciated.

I love the idea of pairing Newporter with antique furniture, natural textures, and pieces collected over time. It's a pattern that tells a story and brings a little of Newport Beach into the home, whether you live down the street or across the country.

Newporter is available in our premium clay-coated wallpaper, which has a beautifully smooth, luxurious matte finish, as well as peel-and-stick wallpaper and textured grasscloth. Each material offers its own unique finish, allowing you to choose the look and feel that best suits your space.

Clay-Coated Traditional Measurements:

  • Paper width: 27 inches - prints to 28 inches, but trimmed by installer
  • Design vertical repeat: 13.5 inches
  • Paper length: By the consecutive yard (3 yard minimum)
  • Overlap: Intended overlap is 1" to ensure pattern alignment. Double-cut to trim seams for a seamless repeat.

Our wallpaper is made to order and ships in approximately 7-14 business days.

Our papers are printed on-demand with eco-friendly inks. All papers are formaldehyde, phthalate, and PVC-free. 

As with all wallpapers, please order 10-20% more than anticipated

FAQs

What is the difference between the 13.5" repeat and the 27" repeat?

The 13.5" repeat is a smaller and tighter pattern while the 27" repeat is a larger version of the same pattern.

Who Should I Hire to Measure and Install?

What Else Should I Know?

Please ensure that you order the correct amount as we cannot guarantee that rolls printed in different batches will be an exact match.

Do you allow customizations?

Yes! We can customize colors of wallpapers, textiles and art prints. If you have a custom color palette we can match any made to order product to that palette. Simply email us hello@newportnowhere.co to get started.

Shipping & Returns

Our papers are made to order the USA and ship in approximately 7 business days. All papers ship directly from our professional print house in North Carolina and include detailed installation instructions.

As with all of our made to order products, we do not offer returns or exchanges.

Clay Coated Traditional

Sold by the continuous yard - 3 yard minimum

Our classic Clay Coated wallpapers have an ultra smooth surface and matte finish. This is our most traditional wallpaper offering —we think it looks beautiful in any room.

We now offer our Clay Coated papers in two different repeats 13.5" and 27"

The 13.5" repeat offers a tighter pattern while the 27" repeat is more of an oversized look

One Print - Two Scales

Newporter is available in both a smaller 13.5" repeat and a larger 27" repeat. The artwork is identical, but the scale can make quite a difference in a room. If you're unsure which is right for your space, we recommend ordering a swatch of each to compare side by side. Swatches shown are in the Marine colorway.

About The Print

Our signature Newporter print is a love letter to Newport Beach, the place I’m lucky enough to call home. Inspired by the familiar landmarks, little details, and everyday scenes that make this stretch of coast so special, each illustration was drawn by hand in my studio overlooking the harbor.

Newporter has been years in the making, with many drawings, revisions, and little adjustments along the way before it finally felt just right. A modern take on a traditional toile, it's a print that feels both nostalgic and personal, and one I hope will find its way into homes for years to come.

Grasscloth Wallpaper

Our Grasscloth wallpapers give a touch of elegance and timeless texture to your walls. Our Grasscloth papers are made out of 100% handcrafted natural sisal. Do to their natural composition, we do not recommend putting them in a bathroom with a tub or shower.

Peel & Stick Wallpaper

Our removable (renter-friendly) Peel & Stick papers are the easiest of our papers to install. Made from premium PVC-free material it has a linen-texture and it ideal for low-moisture spaces.

Inside The Studio

Every pattern begins by hand in my Newport Beach studio, where inspiration comes from the everyday — a favorite place, a collected object, or something spotted along the coast. The result is a collection of wallpapers and textiles designed to feel both familiar and entirely their own.

Measuring and Installing

Unless you have experience hanging paper, we highly recommend hiring a professional wallpaper hanger to both measure and install. If you would like a rough estimate for how much paper you will need, a wallpaper calculator like this one can help.
